Ramadan 2024:
Adifa Memorial Trust Eid Fun ’24
During the holy month of Ramadan, with lavish iftar gatherings and a burgeoning Eid atmosphere everywhere, people are eagerly shopping for their families and loved ones whenever they get a chance, in preparation for Eid. The excitement seems almost competitive, with everyone trying to see who can buy the most new outfits. Children, particularly, revel in the joy of Eid more than adults, imagining the holiday incomplete without new clothes. However, amidst us are many underprivileged, homeless children who don’t have the luxury of new clothes and lack the joy that other children experience during Eid. The Adifa Jahan Binte Alim Memorial Trust has taken a noble initiative to distribute iftar and new Eid clothes to orphans and underprivileged children. On the 5th of April, 2024, at the Swapno Pathshala located in Suhrawardy Udyan, over a hundred disadvantaged children received new clothes, snacks, and play equipment. Distinguished guests, including business executives and local representatives, were present to distribute the gifts, bringing smiles and a festive mood among the children. This heartfelt engagement underscores the profound joy of sharing simple moments with these children, hoping to create a better future for them through collective effort and compassion.
